Calendar import guide

How to Import an ICS File to Outlook

Import an ICS file into Outlook after creating a work schedule, pay period calendar, or event file with WCalendar.

Import checklist

Outlook has multiple calendar experiences, so exact labels may vary. The core workflow is the same: download an ICS file, open Outlook's calendar import option, choose a destination calendar, and review the imported events.

1. Generate and download the file

Use WCalendar to preview your dates, then download the ICS file.

2. Open your Outlook calendar

Go to Outlook Calendar and find the import calendar option for your Outlook version.

3. Select the ICS file

Choose the downloaded file and the calendar where Outlook should place the imported events.

4. Confirm the imported dates

Check the first few events after import. If the wrong calendar was selected, it is easier to fix immediately.

WCalendar does not access Outlook

The file is generated in your browser. WCalendar does not request Outlook permissions, read your calendar, or save your schedule.
